Description
Born in an affluent family, Jawaharlal grew up as a pampered child. A keen observer of news, he was deeply interested in Indian nationalism even while he was studying at Cambridge. Slowly, he got involved in the Indian freedom struggle. While Jawaharlal’s speeches reflected his anger, Gandhi adopted non-violent means. Though there was a difference of opinion between the two on many issues, Nehru did not break away from Gandhi at any point of time. After India got independence, he became the first Prime Minister of the nation.
